We have 3 different lights that we can use for uplighting. One is the SlimPar, the traditional Par Can 64 and the Microh Par Can 64 that has two brackets and has the most watts than the other two. When using uplights, it’s important to take note of the height of the ceilings. For high ceilings, it’s best to use the Microh version of the Par Can since they have the highest wattage compared to other lights. The SlimPar or the traditional par can 64 will not be bright enough for high ceilings. For any number less than 64, the same thing applies. For majority of our events and clients, we recommend the Microh lights.

How the lights will look will depend on various factors such as the height of the ceilings, the colour of the walls, whether or not there is any texture on the walls, etc. We strive our best to provide the best lights for your venue. The lights will appear best on walls that are white. Also, we recommend filling the room (every wall) with lights especially pillars as opposed to only doing a few lights or one or two walls. We like to create a pattern or relate to a colour theme.
There are various options for uplighting including having only one colour, two different colours (i.e. red and white), or changing colours to the beat of the music. The basic package of uplighting includes only one colour and the other options are add on which increase the base price. If you are looking for an entry level uplighting solution then one colour is the best option for you.
We are available to meet with you at the venue to show you the lights. It’s best to see how they look in advance or before your event. It takes time to program these lights and have them ready for your event. We ask that you try to book ASAP so we can reserve the lights for you. We do have a large number of lights available for each day but they do get booked up for multiple events. We are able to deliver them or set them at your venue. In order to choose the right colour we suggest meeting in person at your venue. We are not willing to change the colour at the start of your function or in the middle of your function.
